مرشد آباد کی اویسیہ مسجد میں اعتکاف

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیْ اَنْعَمَ عَلَیْنَاوَھَدٰنَا الِیٰ دِیْنِ اْلِاِسْلَام ۔ اللہ تعالی ٰ کا ارشاد ہے 
اَللّٰہُ نُوْرُالسمٰوٰتِ وَاْلاَرْض۔۔۔ یَھْدِیْ اللّٰہُ لِنُوْرِہِ مَنْ یَّشَاء 
(اللہ آسمانوں اور زمینوں کا نور ہے ۔۔۔۔وہ جسے چاہتا ہے اپنے نور کیطرف لے آتاہے)
بیالیس سالوں سے میں سلسلہ نقشبندیہ اویسیہ سے منسلک ہو کے اللہ اللہ کر رہا ہوں اور تحدیث نعمت کے طور پر عرض ہے کہ ہر سال لیلتہ القدر کو پاتا ہوں ۔ شام کو ذکر کرنے کی غرض سے جب بیٹھتا ہوں اور آنکھیں بند کرتا ہوں تو فضاء کو روشن دیکھتا ہوں ۔ جب رمضان المبارک کی رات آتی ہے تو فضا کئی گنا زیادہ روشن نظر آتی ہے اور جس رات کو شب قدر ہوتی ہے وہ رات رمضان المبارک کی باقی راتوں سے کئی گنا زیادہ روشن نظر آتی ہے۔ تجلیات باری کا نزول بتاتا ہے کہ آج لیلتہ القدر ہے اور جیسا کہ مشہور ہے کہ یہ آناً فاناً آتی اور ختم ہو جاتی ہے ایسا ہرگز نہیں ۔ لیلتہ القدر کی رات کو تجلیات باری کا نزول ساری رات رہتا ہے اور جاگنے والے خوش نصیب اپنی اپنی استعداد کے مطابق دامن بھرتے ہیں اور سیر ہو کے مستفیض ہوتے ہیں۔ 
ساتھی رویت ہلال کمیٹی کے اعلان کا کبھی انتظار نہیں کرتے ۔جیسے ہی شام پڑتی ہے مجھے ٹیلیفون آنا شروع ہوجاتے ہیں کہ آج رات سے رمضان المبارک ہے کہ نہیں۔ پھر آخری عشرے کی طاق راتوں کو بھی شام ہوتے ہی ساتھیوں کے فون اور پیغامات کی بھر مار ہو جاتی ہے کہ بتاؤ آج لیلتہ القدر ہے کہ نہیں۔آج کل چونکہ ہر شخص کے پاس موبائل فون کی سہولت موجود ہے تو لیلتہ القدر کا راز فاش ہونے میں دیر نہیں لگتی ۔ مگر اس کا نقصان یہ ہے کہ ساتھی باقی راتوں کو اتنی اہمیت نہیں دیتے اور نہ اتنی لگن اور شوق سے عبادت کرتے ہیں۔ اسی وجہ سے حضرت جیؒ نے مجھے منع فرما دیا ہے کہ اگر لیلتہ القدر شروع کی راتوں میں ہو تو نہ بتایا جائے۔اس مرتبہ لیلتہ القدر اکیسویں رمضان المبارک کو تھی ۔ ساتھیوں کا اجتماع ستایئسیوں شب کو تھا۔ اگر ان کو معلوم پڑتا کہ لیلتہ القدر اکیسویں کو گزر چکی ہے تو وہ پہلے جیسے جوش و جذبے کیساتھ مرشد آباد نہ آتے۔ مرشد آباد پہنچ کے مجھ سے پوچھا تو میں نے بتا دیا کہ میرے حساب سے تو لیلتہ القدر گزر چکی ہے۔ کشف کے صحیح یا غلط ہونے کا دار ومدار تقویٰ پر ہے۔شیخ المکرم جب حیات تھے تو کشف میں غلطی کا احتمال بہت ہی کم تھا۔ شکر ہے اس کے باوجود ساتھی پہلے جیسے جو ش و جذبہ کے ساتھ عبادت اور ذکر اذکار میں مشغول رہے۔
اب کی بار 20جولائی 2012ء کو ماہ رمضان کا چاند دیکھنے کیلئے رویت ہلال کمیٹی بیٹھی ۔میں نے دیکھا کہ آج رات باقی راتوں کے مقابلے میں زیادہ روشن ہے اس کا مطلب ہے کہ رمضان المبار ک شروع ہوگیا۔میں نے ساتھیوں کو سات بجے ہی بتا دیا کہ کل روزہ ہوگا۔ مگر رویت ہلال کمیٹی والے 9بجے یہ کہ کر اٹھ گئے کہ ملک میں چاند کہیں نظر نہیں آیا۔ میں خود شش و پنج میں پڑ گیا کہ ایسا کیسے ہو سکتا ہے۔ حضرت جیؒ سے رابطہ کیا تو انہوں نے بھی تصدیق کر دی کہ کل روزہ ہے۔ میرے کہنے پرساتھیوں نے تو تراویح بھی پڑھ لی تھیں ۔ تھوڑی دیر گزری تھی کہ ٹی وی پر دوبارہ اعلان ہوا کہ کل پہلا روزہ ہو گا۔ یوں میرا کشف صحیح ثابت ہوا اور ساتھیوں کا یقین بھی اور پختہ ہو گیا۔ 
مرشد آباد میں اعتکاف کا پروگرام پچھلے سال بھی بنا تھا مگر چند وجوہات کی بنا ء پر اس پر عمل نہ ہو سکا تھا۔ اس سال بھی ناظم اعلیٰ صاحب نے جو پروگرام شائع کیا اس میں آخری عشرہ کا اعتکاف شامل تھا۔ ساتھیوں کی بڑی تعداد تیار تھی مگرزیادہ لوگوں کیلئے چونکہ بندوبست ممکن نہیں تھا اس لئے کم تعداد کو اعتکاف بیٹھنے کی اجازت ملی۔ ہم 11 لوگ تھے جو9اگست کو مرشد آباد پہنچے۔اعتکاف بیٹھنے والوں میں خلیفہ مجاز میجر (ریٹائیرڈ)غلام محمد یعنی میرے علاوہ گروپ کیپٹن رضوان حیدر ،ونگ کمانڈر محمد ممتاز خان، حسن فاروق حمید، نجم ،فیصل ،کاشف اقبال ،سیف اللہ،معیز،حفیظ الامین اور ملک اللہ یار تھے۔ مرشد آباد چونکہ جی ٹی روڈ سے گیارہ کلومیٹر دور ہے اور یہاں سے مین روڈ تک جانے کیلئے لوکل ٹرانسپورٹ بھی نہیں چلتی اس لئے اعتکاف بیٹھنے صرف وہ لوگ آئے جن کے پاس اپنی گاڑی تھی ۔حسن اپنے تین ساتھی نجم ،فیصل اور کاشف اقبال جو گجرانوالہ سے رات کو ہی اس کے پاس آگئے تھے کو لے کر لاہور سے براستہ سرگودھا 9اگست کو دس بجے میرے پاس واں بھچراں پہنچے۔ میں نے سب ساتھیوں کو باری باری غسل کرنے کا کہا کیونکہ اعتکاف کے دوران غسل لینے کی اجازت نہیں ہوتی ۔واں بھچراں سے میں اور سیف اللہ ان کے ساتھ ہولئے ۔ہم لوگ 2بجے بن حافظ پہنچے نماز ہم نے وہاں کے امام کے پیچھے نہیں پڑھی کیونکہ یہ لوگ حیات انبیاء اور سماع موتیٰ کو نہیں مانتے ۔ ہم اڑھائی بجے مرشد آباد پہنچے۔ ہم سے پہلے گروپ کیپٹن رضوان اور ان کا بیٹا معیز پہنچے ہوئے تھے۔نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ہم نے حضرت جیؒ کے پاس حاضری دی اور پوچھا کہ اعتکاف کے دوران کیا ہم آپ کے مزار کے پاس بیٹھ کر ذکر کر سکتے ہیں ۔ حضرت مرشدؒ نے فرمایا کہ تم لوگ اللہ کے گھر کے معتکف ہو۔ دورانِ اعتکاف اللہ کا گھر چھوڑ کے میرے پاس نہیں آسکتے۔اس کے بعد ملک اللہ یار اعتکاف کی نیت سے تشریف لے آئے ۔عصر کے بعد ونگ کمانڈر ممتاز خان بھی اسلام آباد سے پہنچ گئے۔ غروب آفتاب سے ذرہ پہلے حضرت کا نواسہ حفیظ الامین بھی آگیا۔اس طرح اعتکاف بیٹھنے والے ہم گیارہ ہو گئے۔

شام کو تراویح میں حافظ امیر محمد نے قرآن ختم کیا۔ اعتکاف کے ایا م میں یہ طے پایا کہ ہم روزانہ پانچ دفعہ ذکر کریں گے تاکہ ذکر کی ہاف سنچری ہو جائے اور ہر ساتھی روزانہ تین پارہ قرآن پڑھے گا تاکہ ہر ایک کا ختم قرآن ہو جائے اور ہر ساتھی روزانہ ایک ہزار درود شریف پڑھے گا۔ ہمارے ذکر کے اوقات یہ تھے ۔صبح چار بجے پھر دس بجے ۔ظہر کے بعد ۔عصر کے بعد اور مغرب کے بعد۔ ہم تین دفعہ تلاوت کرتے تھے صبح سات بجے کے بعد، پھر ظہر کے ذکر کے بعد، پھر عصر کے ذکر کے بعد۔ باقی اوقات میں درود شریف اور نیند شامل تھی۔ جمعہ نماز سے پہلے معیز نے غسل کر لیا تو حفیظ الامین نے اسے بتایا کہ بغیر شرعی عذر کے آپ اعتکاف کے دوران نہیں نہا سکتے۔جمعہ ہم نے چکڑالہ جا کر چٹی مسجد میں پڑھا ۔ جمعہ کی نماز حافظ عبیداللہ نے پڑھائی۔ حافظ عبیداللہ سے پہلے اس مسجد میں ہمارے شیخ حضرت اللہ یار خان نماز جمعہ پڑھایا کرتے تھے۔ آدھی رات کے وقت حافظ عثمان اور عادل گجرانوالہ سے پہنچے ۔اتنی دیر سے آنے کی وجہ پوچھی تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ وہ گجرانوالہ کی مدنی مسجد میں جمعہ کی نما ز پڑھا کے نکلے اس لئے لیٹ ہو گئے ۔ وہ اگلے جمعہ کی صبح تک ہمارے ساتھ رہے البتہ عادل اتوار سہ پہر میں واپس چلے گئے تھے ۔ رات کو زبردست آندھی چلی۔سب کچھ ریت ریت ہو گیا۔
11اگست بروز ہفتہ شام کو ناظم اعلیٰ کرنل مطلوب حسین تشریف لائے ۔ ان کیساتھ اسلم صاحب اور عمر تجارب بھی تھے۔ہم روزہ افطار کرنے کے منتظر تھے کہ حضرت جی ؒ کی آواز آئی ’’روزہ کھولدے کیوں نہیں‘‘ یوں ہم نے ان کے حکم پر روزہ افطار کیا۔ اگلے روز اتوار کو کرنل مطلوب علی الصبح لاہور واپس چلے گئے۔ کرنل صاحب بہت خوش تھے کہ حضرت جی ؒ کے پاس اعتکاف بیٹھنے کی دیرینہ خواہش پوری ہو گئی ۔تراویح ہم نے حافظ امیر محمد کے پیچھے پڑھیں۔ ٹھنڈے مزاج کے تھکے تھکے لگتے تھے ۔ایک دن قرآن پڑھنے والے بچے بچیوں کو انہیں مارتے دیکھا تو پتہ چلا کہ یہ مزاج کے اتنے ٹھنڈے بھی نہیں۔ 9بجے تراویح کا وقت تھا اور 9بجے بجلی کی لوڈ شیڈنگ کا بھی ۔یوں ہم پانی کے بغیر ہی دوران تراویح پسینے سے نہا لیا کرتے تھے۔
اتوار کو تراویح سے فارغ ہو کے لیٹے تو شیخ المکرم کا حکم ملا کہ صبح کے معمول میں سوائے معیز کے جو ابھی اٹھارہ سال کا بھی نہیں ہو ا باقی سب کی روحانی بیعت کروا دو۔ میں نے ساتھیوں کو بتایا تو سب کے چہرے دمک اٹھے ۔ ان کی خوشی دیدنی تھی۔ ہم نے طے کیاکہ ڈیڑھ بجے اٹھ جائیں گے۔ نوافل ادا کرنے کے بعد 2بجے ذکر کے لئے بیٹھ جائیں گے۔ چنانچہ 12اگست12 کو صبح سحر ی کھانے سے پہلے ہم نے ذکر کیا۔ میرے سامنے نو دس موبائل فون رکھے تھے اسطرح ہمارے ساتھ ہمارے گھر والوں نے بھی ذکر کیا ۔دوران ذکر جب مسجد نبویؐپہنچے تو دیکھا کہ شیخ المکرم حضرت اللہ یار خان ؒ ساتھیوں کی روحانی بیعت کرانے کیلئے تیار تھے ۔ میں نے باری باری حفیظ الامین، ممتازخان، رضوان حیدر، سیف اللہ، محمد فیصل، ندیم ارشد نجم، کاشف اقبال اور ملک اللہ یار کو روحانی بیعت کیلئے پیش کیا۔ حضرت شیخ المکرم نے خود ان کو حضوراکرمﷺ کے سامنے بٹھایا اور روحانی بیعت کرائی پھر ان کا حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے بھی مصافحہ کرایاگیا اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بیعت کا انداراج ہوا۔(ہمیں تو روحانی بیعت رجسٹر میں اپنا نام بھی دکھایا گیا تھااور سیریل نمبر بھی)پھر ان کو قرآن مجید ملے اور تسبیح عطاہوئیں جو حضور نبی اکرمﷺ نے خود انکو پکڑائیں کہ زندگی قرآن مجید کے مطابق گزارنی ہے اور زندگی کے اوقات اللہ کی یاد میں گزارنے ہیں۔ حضرت جیؒ کی خوشی کی کوئی انتہا نہیں تھی کیونکہ سلسلہ کے 8ساتھیوں کی ایک ساتھی روحانی بیعت ان کے ہاتھوں وقوع پذیر ہوئی تھی جن میں ان کا نواسہ بھی شامل تھا۔اگلے روز مجھے فرمایا کہ ان کو فنافی الرسول بھی کرا دو۔ چنانچہ حضر ت شیخ المکرم کے حکم کے مطابق حفیظ الامین کو 13اگست 12صبح ساڑھے چار بجے۔حافظ عثمان کو13اگست شام 6بجے حسن فاروق حمید کو 13اگست رات 8بجے ۔ممتاز خان کو 14اگست صبح ساڑھے چار بجے۔رضوان حیدر کو 14اگست صبح دس بجے۔سیف اللہ کو 14اگست ظہر کے بعد ۔محمد فیصل کو 14اگست عصر کے بعد۔نجم کو 14اگست مغرب کے بعد۔کاشف اقبال کو 15اگست صبح ساڑھے چار بجے اور ملک اللہ یار کو 15اگست صبح دس بجے فنا فی الرسول کی دولت سے نواز ا گیا۔

روحانی بیعت کرانے کے بعد حضرت جی ؒ قرآن مجید کی آیت اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یُبَایِعُوْنَکَ اِنَّمَایُبَایِعُوْنَ اللّٰہَ ط یَدُ اللّہِ فَوْقَ اَیْدِیْھِمْ ج فَمَنْ نَّکَثَ فَاِنَّمَا یَنْکُثُ عَلیٰ نَفْسِہِ ج وَمَنْ اَوْفیٰ بِمَا عٰھَدَ عَلَیْہُ اللّٰہَ فَسَیُؤْتِیْہِ اَجْراًعَظِیْماً(۱۰) پڑھا کرتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ میرا کام پوارا ہو گیا۔میں نے تمہارا ہاتھ پیغمبرﷺ کے دست اقدس میں دے دیا ۔اب تم خود حضورﷺ کو جواب دہ ہو ۔تم نے اپنے پیغمبرﷺ سے کیا ہو ا وعدہ نبھانا ہے اب تم سے براہِ راست پوچھ ہو گی۔ خبردار اب غلطی کی کوئی گنجائش نہیں۔
15اگست کی شام کو رمضان المبار ک کی 27ویں شب تھی۔ پشاور، کامرہ ،رسالپور ، اسلام آباد ، سیالکوٹ، گجرانوالہ،گجرات ، حافظ آباد، لاہور، فیصل آباد، ملتان اور میانوالی سے لوگ رات گزارنے مرشد آباد پہنچے۔ مسجد کی رونقیں دوبالا ہو گئیں ۔ بچے نوجوان بوڑھے ہر عمر کے لوگ نظرآئے جن کو ذکر کی تشنگی اور حضرت شیخ المکرم کی محبت یہاں کھینچ لائی ۔جو اپنے قلب و روح کو انوارات اور تجلیات باری سے فیضیاب کرانے کی لگن سے سرشار تھے جن پر گریہ طاری تھا رقت طاری تھی۔ مسجد’’ اللہ ھو‘‘ کی گونج سے بؤہِ نور بنی ہوئی تھی ۔ ہر آنکھ اشک بار تھی۔ہر گناہگار تائب تھا۔ رات عبادت میں گزارنے کے بعد اگلے روز جب وہ رخصت ہو رہے تھے تو وہ ایک نیا عزم ولولہ اور ذکر الہیٰ کا جذبہ لے کر جا رہے تھے۔ شیخ المکر م بھی ایک شفیق باپ کی طرح سب کو الوداع کہ رہے تھے اور دعا بھی دے رہے تھے استقامت کی ‘ذکر پردوام کی اور سلسلے کی ترویج کیلئے جدوجہد میں کامیابی کی ۔ کیوں نہ ہو یہ سلسلہ ان کا ہی تو ہے۔ وہ ہی سلسلہ نقشبندیہ اویسیہ کے آخری شیخ سلسلہ ہیں ان کے ہم سب خلفاء مجازین نے آپ کے نائبین کی حیثیت میں سالکین کی تربیت کرنی ہے اور اپنی ذمہ داریوں سے عہدہ برا ہوتے ہوئے سلسلہ کو اگلی نسل تک ٹرانسفر کرنا ہے ۔ اب یہ دیکھنا ہمارا فرض ہے کہ ہم کیسے یہ فرض نبھاتے ہیں ۔
اگر ہم سب کا اعتکاف میں الگ الگ عبادت کرنے کا نصاب ہوتا تو یہ سوچ کر کہ دوسرا بندہ ڈسٹرب نہ ہو،ہم ایک دوسرے سے پردہ کر لیتے اپنے ارد گرد چادریں تان لیتے ۔ کوئی تلاوت کرتا تو کوئی ذکر کرتا اور کوئی نفل پڑھتا اور کوئی آرام کر رہا ہوتا۔ مگر چونکہ ہم سب ایک ساتھ سوتے ایک ساتھ جاگتے ایک ساتھ ذکر کرتے اور ایک ساتھ تلاوت کرتے تھے اس لیے ہمیں ایک دوسرے سے پردہ کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں پڑی ۔کھلے برآمدے میں ہم سب نے بستر لگالئے اور سب نے اجتماعی ذکر کئے ایک ساتھ بیٹھ کر قرآ ن مجید پڑھا اور تسبیحات پوری کیں۔رات کو سونے کے لئے صرف تین گھنٹے میسر تھے۔ اس طرح ہم صبح ذکر کے بعد نیند پوری کر لیتے تھے۔بجلی کی لوڈشیڈنگ نے بھی ہمارا پورا پورا ساتھ دیا اور آخر دم تک دوستی نبھائی۔
میرے بیٹے سیف الرحمن کی ہمت بھی قابل داد ہے جو آخری تین راتیں ہمارے ساتھ گزارنے کے لئے 70کلو میٹر کا سفر موٹر سائیکل پر طے کر کے آتا رہا ۔ جیسے جیسے چاند رات قریب آرہی تھی اور ہمارا اعتکاف اختتام کی طرف بڑھ رہا تھا ایسے ایسے ہمیں ایک دوسرے سے جدائی کا خوف دامن گیر ہو رہا تھا کہ پھر نہ یہ ذکر رہیں گے اور نہ ان جیسی کیفیات ہوا کریں گی۔پھر جس نوعیت کی سکینہ کا اوپر سے نزول ہو رہا تھا۔ اس کے ختم ہو جانے کا ڈر بھی تھا بادل نخواستہ آخر ی دن آہی گیا۔ کبھی خود کو دیکھتے تھے تو کبھی شیخ کی قبر کو جہاں سے سارا عالم فیضیاب ہوتا ہے ۔ حضرت قبلہ عالم بھی افسردہ تھے آخری افطار کے بعد ہم نے نماز پڑھی اور الوداعی ذکر کے لئے حضرت جی ؒ کی قبر کے پاس آبیٹھے ۔ روتے روتے ذکر کیا اور باہر نکل کے اپنی اپنی گاڑیوں میں بیٹھ کے گھروں کو روانہ ہو گئے ملک اللہ یار کو ونگ کمانڈر ممتاز خان نے سات آٹھ کلو میٹر کے سفر کے بعد انہیں اپنے گھر کے باہر اتار دیا۔ اگلے روز عید کے دن پتہ چلا کہ ملک اللہ یار کو نمازِ عید سے پہلے فالج کا اٹیک ہو گیا۔ انہیں میانوالی ہسپتال لے جایا گیا مگر وہ جانبر نہ ہو سکے اور عید سے اگلے روز برزخ سدھار گئیاِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَاِنَّا اِلَیہِ رَاجِعُوْن۔بعد ازاں میں نے جب ان کا حال دیکھنے کیلئے نظر کی تو دیکھا کہ وہ حضرت شیخ المکرم کی قبر میں حضرت جیؒ کے ساتھ خوش باش بیٹھے ہیں ۔کیا ہی خوش نصیب شخص ہے جس کی قسمت پر جتنا بھی رشک کیا جائے کم ہے۔ملک اللہ یار حضرت جی ؒ کے وقت سے سلسلہ عالیہ میں تھے ۔شاید ملک الموت ان کی روحانی بیعت اور فنافی الرسول ہونے کے انتظار میں تھا۔ جیسے ہی یہ شرائط مکمل ہوئیں وہ آئے اور ان کی روح قبض کر کے انہیں اپنے ساتھ لے گئے۔

اللہُ نُوْرُالسمٰوٰتِ وَاْلاَرْض۔۔۔ یَھْدِیْ  اللہُ لِنُوْرِہِ مَنْ یَّشَاء

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth…Allah guides to His Light whomever He wills (The Quran 24:35)

I've been attached to Silsila Naqshbandia Awaisia and been practicing Allah, Allah for forty-two years. I submit as a token of gratitude (for the blessing Allah has bestowed upon me), that I find the Lailatul Qadr every year. When I sit for Zikr in the evening and close my eyes, I see the atmosphere illuminated. The nights of the blessed Ramzan are many times more luminous, and the night of Lailatul Qadr appears many, many times brighter than other Ramzan nights. The flashes of Allah's Lights descend to indicate it's Laitul Qadr. It doesn’t end in an instant, as commonly believed. The Lights keep descending the whole night and those fortunate souls who are awake (and remembering Allah) get their share according to their individual capacities, and satiate their need for spiritual nourishment (Faiz).

My fellows never wait for the announcement by the Moon-sighting Committee. As soon as the sun goes down, they start calling me, asking whether or not it's the first night of the blessed Ramzan. Then, in odd nights of the last ten days (of Ramzan), the calls and messages again shoot up, asking whether it's Laitaul Qadr that night. Everyone has a mobile phone these days, so it doesn’t take long for the secret of Lailatul Qadr to get out. The downside of this is that the fellows don’t give as much importance to other nights and don’t worship as keenly and as devotedly. That's why Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih} has forbidden me from disclosing the Lailatul Qadr if it falls on the initial nights (of the last ten days). This time, the Lailatul Qadr fell on the twenty-first of Ramzan. The congregation (Ijtima) was planned on the night of twenty-seventh. Had they known that the Lailatul Qadr had already passed on the twenty-first, they would not have come to Murshed Abad with as much fervor and passion. When they asked me at Murshed Abad, I told them that the Lailatul Qadr had passed. The validity of Kashaf depends upon Piety (Taqwa). When my respected Shaykh^{Rehmatullah Alaih} was alive, there was little probability of the Kashaf being wrong. Thanks (Allah) that the fellows still kept performing the Zikr and worships with the same zeal and keenness.

This year, the Moon-sighting Committee held its session on 20th July, 2012 to sight the moon of Ramzan. I saw that the night was brighter than other nights, which meant that the blessed Ramzan had started. I informed my fellows at 7 pm that the next day would be a fasting day (Roza). But, the Moon-sighting Committee adjourned their session at 9 pm, announcing that the moon had not been sighted anywhere in the country. I was myself perplexed how it had happened. I contacted Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih} and he also confirmed that it was Roza^[1] the next day. My companions had also performed the Taraweeh^[2] prayer upon my words. After some time, it was again announced on TV that the next day would be the first Roza. Hence, my Kashaf proved to be right and my fellows' faith was reinforced further.

Aetkaf was planned at Murshed Abad last year too, but it could not be held because of certain reasons. This year's program issued by the Chief Manager also included the Aetkaf during the last ten days of Ramzan. The fellows were prepared to join in large numbers, but arrangements could not be made to accommodate everyone, so fewer of them were granted the permission to sit in Aetkaf. We were 11 people who reached Murshed Abad on the 9th of August. Those joining the Aetkaf included Khalif Majaz^[3] Major (Retd) Ghulam Muhammad, or myself, Group Captain Rizwan Haider, Wing Commander Muhammad Mumtaz Khan, Hassan Farooq Hameed, Najam, Kashif Iqbal, Saifullah, Mueez, Hafeez-ul-Ameen, and Malik Allah Yar. Murshed Abad is situated 11km away from the GT Road and no local transport is available for going to the main road, so everyone joining the Aetkaf had to have their own transport. Najam, Faisal and Kashif Iqbal had arrived at Hassan's house from Gujranwala the previous night. Hassan drove with them from Lahore via Sargodha to Wan Bhachran, and reached me at 10 am on 9th August. I asked them to take bath one by one because bathing is not permitted during Aetkaf. I and Saifullah joined them from Wan Bhachran and we reached Ban Hafiz at 2 pm. We did not say the Zuhr prayer behind the local Imam because these people do not believe that the Prophet's are alive[4] and the dead can hear. We reached Murshed Abad at 2:30 pm. Group Captain Rizwan and his son Mueez had already arrived there. After performing our Namaz, we presented ourselves before Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih} and asked if we could perform Zikr near his grave during the Aetkaf. Hazrat Murshed^{Rehmatullah Alaih}said that we were in Aetkaf in Allah's house. 'You cannot leave Allah's house and come to me during the Aetkaf,' he said. After this, Malik Allah Yar also arrived for joining the Aetkaf. Wing Commander Mumtaz Khan arrived from Islamabad after Asr. Hazrat's grandson Hafeez-ul-Ameen stepped in just before the sunset. In this way, we became 11 people who would be sitting in Aetkaf.

Hafiz Ameer Muhammad finished the Quran during the evening Taraweeh. It was decided that during the days of Aetkaf, we would perform Zikr five times a day, so that the half-century of Zikr sessions could be completed. Everyone would recite three parts of the Quran, so that everybody completes the Quran. And everyone would recite the Darood Sharif 1000 times every day. The Zikr sessions were held at the following times: 4 am, 10 am, after Zuhr, after Asr, and after Maghrib. We recited the Quran three times a day: after 7 am, after the Zuhr Zikr, then after the Asr Zikr. The remaining time included reciting the Darood Sharif and sleeping hours. Mueez took a bath before the Jumma prayer. Hafeez-ul-Ameen told him that he cannot take a bath during Aetkaf, unless it is enoined by the Shariah[5].  We said the Jumma prayer in the White Mosque at Chikrala. Hafiz Ubaidullah led the prayer. Before him, our Shaykh Hazrat Allah Yar Khan used to lead the Jumma prayer.

Hafiz Usman and Adil arrived from Gujranwala at midnight. When asked the reason for getting so late, he (Hafiz Usman) said that he had left after leading the Jumma prayer in the Madni Masjid, Gujranwala. That's why they had arrived late. He stayed with us until the morning of the next Friday, but Adil returned on the Sunday afternoon. A severe windstorm blew at night and everything got covered in sand.

The Chief Administrator, Colonel Matloob Hussain, arrived on evening of Saturday, 11th August. Aslam Sahib and Umer Tajarab were also with him. We were waiting for the Iftar[6]< when Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih}'s voice came, "why don’t you break the fast?" So, we did the Iftar on his orders. Colonel Matloob returned to Lahore early Sunday morning, the next day. Colonel Sahib was very pleased that our longing to sit in Aetkaf near Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih} had finally been fulfilled. We prayed the Tarawih behind Hafiz Ameer Muhammad. He appeared to have a soft temperament and moved around gently, as if tired. One day, when we saw him beating the kids who were learning to read the Quran, we found out that he wasn’t as soft of temperament as we had thought. The Tarawih prayer started at 9 pm, and so did the load-shedding. Hence, we used to take bath every night without water, in our own sweat.

When we lied down after the Tarawih on Sunday, the honorable Shaykh^{Rehmatullah Alaih}'s orders were received to conduct the Spiritual Baet of everyone except Mueez, who was still not 18 years old. When I told my companions, their faces started glowing. Their happiness was worth seeing. We decided to wake up at 1:30 am and sit down for the Zikr at 2 am, after performing the Nawafil. So, we performed the Zikr before taking our Sehri[7] in the morning of 12th August, 2012. I had 9 or 10 mobile phones placed before me on the ground, through which our families also joined us in the Zikr. During the Zikr, when we reached the Prophet's^{SALL-ALLAHU-ALAIH-WASALLAM} Mosque, I saw that the respected Shaykh Hazrat Allah Yar Khan was ready to present the seekers for the Spiritual Baet. One by one, I presented for the Spiritual Baet Hafeez-ul-Ameen, Mumtaz Khan, Rizwan Haider, Saifullah, Muhammad Faisal, Nadeem Arshad Najam, Kashif Iqbal and Malik Allah Yar. Hazrat the respected Shaykh himself seated them before Huzoor Akram^{SALL-ALLAHU-ALAIH-WASALLAM} and led them through the Spiritual Baet. Then, they were presented before Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique^{Razi Allah Anhu} and Hazrat Ali^{Razi Allah Anhu} for a handshake, and their Baet was recorded with Hazrat Ali. (We were even shown our names and serial numbers in the Spiritual Baet Register). After this, they were awarded the Holy Quran and rosaries by Huzoor Nabi Akram^{SALL-ALLAHU-ALAIH-WASALLAM} himself. Now, they have to live their lives according to the Holy Quran and spend their time in remembering Allah. Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih}was overjoyed on this occasion, because eight of the companions of the Silsila had been honored with the Spiritual Baet together, at his hands, and they also included his grandson. The next day, he told me to conduct Fana-fir-Rasool on them. So, according to Hazrat, the respected Shaykh's orders, the fellows were blessed with the treasure of Fana-fir-Rasool on the following times and days:

1. Hafeez-ul-Ameen on 13 August, 2012 at 4:30 pm
2. Hafiz Usman on 13 August at 6:00 pm
3. Hassan Farooq Hameed on 13 August at 8:00 pm
4. Mumtaz Khan on 14 August at 4:30 am
5. Rizwan Haider on 14 August at 10:00 am
6. Saifullah on 14 August after Zuhr
7. Muhammad Faisal on 14 August after Asr
8. Najam on 14 August after Maghrib
9. Kashif Iqbal on 15 August at 4:30 am
10. And Malik Allah Yar on 15 August at 10 am

Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih} used to recite the following Ayat of the Holy Quran after conducting the Spiritual Baet:

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یُبَایِعُوْنَکَ اِنَّمَایُبَایِعُوْنَ اللہ ط یَدُ اللہ فَوْقَ اَیْدِیْھِمْ ج فَمَنْ نَّکَثَ فَاِنَّمَا یَنْکُثُ عَلیٰ نَفْسِہِ ج وَمَنْ اَوْفیٰ بِمَا عٰھَدَ عَلَیْہُ اللہ فَسَیُؤْتِیْہِ اَجْراًعَظِیْماً

<(48:10)

Then, he would tell the seekers, "My job is over, I've given your hand in the sacred hand of the Prophet^S-A-W. Now, you are yourself answerable to Huzoor^S-A-W. You have to keep the promise that you've made with the Prophet^S-A-W. Now, you will be held accountable directly. Be warned, that now there's no room for a mistake."

The 27th night of the blessed month of Ramzan fell on 15th of August. People reached Murshed Abad for a night stay from Peshawar, Kamra, Risalpur, Islamabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Mianwali. The mosque came alive with activity. The thirst for Zikr and the love of Hazrat, the honorable Shaykh, had attracted people from all ages, including children, young men and old fellows. They were overwhelmed by the urge to get their hearts and spirits nourished by the Lights and Flashes of Allah. They were crying out of emotion. The Mosque was filled with the echo of Allah Hu and bursting with Light. Every eye was wet. Every sinner was regretful. When they were leaving the next morning after having spent the night in worship, they were taking home a renewed determination and passion for doing Zikr-Allah. The respected Shaykh^{Rehmatullah Alaih}was also saying goodbye to everyone like a kind father, and praying for their steadfastness on Zikr and their success in the efforts to spread the Silsila. After all, it's his Silsila. He is the last Shaykh of Silsila Naqshbandia Awaisia. We, his Authorized Successors, are supposed to act as his assistants and train the seekers, so that the Silsila is transferred to the next generation and we are absolved of our responsibilities. It's up to us to see to it that our duty is fulfilled.

If each one of us had a different schedule to worship separately, we would have isolated ourselves from each other by hanging curtains around each person, so that no one is disturbed. Some would be doing Zikr, some would be reciting the Quran, and some would be taking rest. But, we used to sleep together, wake up together, do Zikr together, and recite together, we had no need to get secluded from each other. We placed our beddings in the open verandah and carried out congregational Zikr, recited the Quran together, and completed our Tasbeehat[8]. We just had three hours to sleep at night, so we used to catch up on sleep after the morning Zikr. The electricity load-shedding also stayed with us throughout the Aetkaf, and proved to be a friend right to the end.

My son Saif-ur-Rehman's tenacity is worth a mention. He travelled 70kms each way on a motorcycle everyday to spend the last three nights with us. As the Moon Night was approaching and our Aetkaf was nearing its conclusion, we were already starting to feel sad at the prospects of having to leave each other. The sessions of Zikr would be no more, nor will there be the same spiritual feelings. There was a special type of Feeling descending upon us from above, and we were beginning to fear its end. The inevitable happened, and the last day arrived. We were looking at ourselves, then looking at the grave of our Shaykh^{Rehmatullah Alaih}, from where the whole world draws the Faiz. Hazrat, the Qibla of the world, was also sad. We said our prayer after the last Iftari, and sat by Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih}'s grave for the farewell Zikr, through which we kept crying. Then, we got up from there and boarded our vehicles for the journey back home. Wing Commander Mumtaz Khan dropped off Malik Allah Yar at his home after 7–8km. The next day, which was the Eid day, we learned that Malik Allah Yar had had a stroke before the Eid prayer. He was rushed to a hospital in Mianwali, but he could not survive, and departed for Barzakh on the next day to the Eid. Inna Lillah-e wa Inna Elai-he Rajeoon (Indeed, we are from Allah and to Him we shall return.) Later on, when I focused on him to see his condition, I saw that he was sitting with Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih} in the respected Shaykh's grave, and was very happy. How lucky a person he is! His luck is enviable in a positive way. Malik Allah Yar was in the esteemed Silsila since the times of Hazrat Jee^{Rehmatullah Alaih}. Perhaps, the Angel of Death was waiting for his Spiritual Baet and Fana-fir-Rasool to be accomplished. As soon as these conditions were met, he came, drew his spirit, and took him along.
