حضرت اللہ یار خان ؒ نے سلسلہ نقشبندیہ اویسیہ کی ترویج کا کام چکوال سے شروع کیا تھا ۔ ان کا پہلا شاگرد قاضی ثناء اللہ تھا جن کے بعد چکوال کے مولوی محمد سلیمان اور پروفیسر عبدالرزاق نے ذکر شروع کیا ۔ مولوی محمد سلیمان ہائی سکول چکوال میں عربی ٹیچر تھے اور مسجد کے خطیب بھی تھے ۔ تلاوت کرنے کا ان کا اپنا انداز تھا ۔ تیز کشف تھا اور کلام بالارواح بہت صاف تھی ۔ ہم سب پہلے چکوال جاتے تھے مولوی محمد سلیمان ہمیں ذکر کراتے تھے اور پھر وہاں سے ہم حضرت قبلہ عالم کے پاس حاضری کے لئے چکڑالہ پہنچتے تھے ۔ یوں ہمیں چکڑالہ پہنچتے پہنچتے رات کے دس بج جاتے تھے ۔ صبح تہجد کے لئے حضرت تشریف لاتے تو ہمیں مسجد میں موجود پاتے ۔ ہمیں راستے میں بازار کا کھانا کھانے کی اجازت ہرگز نہیں تھی مگر بھوک سے زیادہ ہمیں شیخ مکرم کی ملاقات کا شوق دوڑائے پھرتا ہوتا تھا ۔ بن حافظ سے چکڑالہ تک کا دس میل کا سفر اکثر پیدل طے کرتے تھے البتہ واپسی کے لئے صبح چکڑالہ سے بن حافظ تک بس مل جاتی تھی ۔
سلسہ اویسیہ کے سب لوگ مولوی محمد سلیمان کے گرویدہ تھے ۔ ان کی خوشنودی حاصل کرنے کے لئے ان کو تحفے تحائف بھی دینے شروع کردیئے ۔ کشف کی باتیں پوچھنے اور سننے کے لئے ان کے پاس لوگ جمع رہتے تھے ۔ مولانا اکرم اعوان جب بھی لوگوں کو ان کے پاس جمع دیکھتے تو کہتے تھے کہ شکر ہے مجھے کشف کی بیماری نہیں ہے ورنہ مجھے بھی ساتھی بے آرام کئے رکھتے ۔ مولوی محمد سلیمان حضرت اللہ یار خان ؒ کا خلیفہ مجاز بھی تھا اور منازل میں لیٹی والے قاضی ثناء اللہ کے بعد آتا تھا ۔ ہم نے جب بھی شیخ مکرم سے پوچھا کہ حضرت آپ کے پیچھے کون کون چل رہے ہیں تو فرماتے تھے کہ میرے پیچھے قاضی صاحب ہیں اور ان کے پیچھے مولوی سلیمان ہے ۔ عالم حیرت کے منازل میں چلنے والا مولوی محمد سلیمان بڑی قدرومنزلت کی نگاہ سے دیکھا جاتا تھا ۔ منازل سلوک میں ایک سٹیج ایسی بھی آتی ہے جب فیض باری اس شخص کو بلاواسطہ بھی پہنچتا ہے ۔ بدلتا ہے رنگ آسماں کیسے کیسے ۔پھر کیا ہوا کہ حضرت قبلہ عالم نے عندیہ دے دیا کہ میرے بعد جماعت کی باگ ڈور مولوی محمد سلیمان سنبھالے گا ۔ اب تو ان کے طور اطوار بدلنے لگے ۔ انہوں نے عصر کی نماز کے بعد ذکر جہر شروع کرادیا اور مراقبہ استحضار بھی ۔ مجھے معلوم تھا کہ ذکر جہر اور مراقبہ استحضار میں اسے حضرت جی ؒ کی اشیر باد حاصل نہیں۔ جب مولوی محمد سلیمان نے دیکھا کہ میں ان کے ساتھ متفق نہیں تو مجھے انہوں نے بلا کر ذاتی طور پر دھمکی دی کہ اگر میں ان کی موافقت میں نہ آیا تو وہ مجھے مجازیت سے معزول کراکے سلسلہ اویسیہ سے بھی نکلوادیں گے۔اللہ رب العزت کا مجھ پر احسان ہے کہ جب مولانا محمد اکرم اعوان نے ’’الاخوان‘‘ بنائی تو میں ان کا بھی ہمنوا نہ بنا اور نہ ہی ان کی ریلیوں اور جلسوں میں شرکت کی ۔
مولوی محمد سلیمان نہ جانے کیسے اتنی بڑی غلط فہمی کا شکار ہو گئے کہ اب ان کو آگے چلنے کے لئے شیخ کی ضرورت نہیں رہی۔ اب وہ حصول فیض میں خود کفیل ہیں ۔ پھر اس نے کسی اور پیر صاحب سے تعلقات استوار کر لئے ۔ اب کہنے لگے کہ احدیت معیت اقربیت یعنی مراقبات ثلاثہ قلب میں ہی ہو جاتے ہیں ۔ حضرت شیخ مکرم نے ان کو بارہا کہا کہ خود کو سنبھالو مگر وہ نہ رکے نہ پلٹے ۔ پشاور میں حاجی الطاف کے گھر میں حضرت قبلہ عالم کا قیام تھا ۔ جب میں نے حضرت ؒ کے سامنے مولوی محمد سلیمان کی دھمکی کا ذکر کیا کہ وہ آپ کو کہہ کے مجھے جماعت سے نکلوادے گا تو حضرت فرمانے لگے کہ وہ آپ کو کیا نکلوائے گا وہ تو خود جماعت سے نکل گیا ہے ۔ اس نے تو ’’ دلائل السلوک ‘‘ کے مقابلے میں ایک کتاب بھی لکھ لی ہے ۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنے سرہانے کے نیچے سے ایک کتاب نکال کے مجھے دکھائی کہ یہ اس کی کتاب ہے ۔ میں نے کتاب کو کھولا تو ششدر رہ گیا کہ اس کتاب کا مقدمہ لکھنے والا پروفیسر عبدالرزاق تھا۔
افسوس صد افسوس ! بندہ جب اپنی اوقات بھول جائے تو پھر اسے منہ کی کھانا پڑتی ہے ۔ مولوی محمد سلیمان سب کچھ گنوا بیٹھا ۔ منصب گیا منازل گئے ۔ دربارنبویﷺ سے نکال دیا گیا۔ دنیانے بھی منہ پھیر لیا۔ بیماری اور تنگدستی کی گرفت میں ایسا آیا کہ پھر چھٹکارا نہ ملا۔ مرا تو چہرہ سیاہ ہو گیا ۔ قبر نے بھی ویلکم نہ کیا ۔ دیکھ لیا آپ نے ابلیس کی دوستی کا انجام۔ اب کہتا ہے کہ ’’مجھے عجب اور خود فریبی نے مرو ادیا ۔ کاش میں نے شیخ کا ہاتھ اور ساتھ نہ چھوڑا ہوتا۔‘‘
اب ایک اور صاحب کی کہانی سنو ۔ نام ان کا بشیر تھا ۔ رہتا فورٹ سنڈیمین بلوچستان میں تھا ۔ حکمت کرتا تھا ۔ اکثر نسخے حضرت شیخ المکرم کے استعمال کرتا تھا ۔ پرانا تعلق پولیس سے تھا ۔ بہت باتونی اور تیزطرار تھا۔ کشف کا بھی دعویدار تھا ۔ اویسیہ سلسلے میں نئے آنے والوں کو وہ ہی سنبھالتا تھا اور سلسلے سے آگاہ کرتا تھا۔ ہمیں بھی اس سے بہت کچھ سننے کو ملا۔ فورٹ سنڈیمین میں کم اور چکڑالہ میں زیادہ رہتا تھا۔بے دھڑک تھااور بولنے میں روانی تھی ۔ درازقد تھا اور گورا رنگ تھا۔ ساتھیوں کے پاس جاکے ان کو ذکر اور مراقبات کراتا تھا ۔ اس کا دوسرا بھائی نیوی میں تھا ۔ حضرت شیخ المکرم جب کراچی جاتے تھے تو اس کے بھائی کے پاس مسجد طوبیٰ کے قریب نیوی کواٹرمیں قیام فرماتے تھے ۔
یہ1970ء کی بات ہے ۔ حضرت قبلہ عالم کراچی میں تھے ۔ شام سے پہلے اور عصر کے بعد بشیر کراچی شہر سے لوٹا تو بہت غصے میں تھا ۔ حضرت کو آکے بتانے لگا کہ آج میں نے ایک قبر پر حاضری دی مگر صاحب قبر میری تعظیم میں کھڑا نہیں ہوا اور اس نے میرے سوالوں کا جواب بھی نہیں دیا حالانکہ آج تک میں نے کسی صاحب قبر کا یہ رویہ نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم اس کے پاس گئے ہوں اور وہ اٹھا نہ ہو بشیر ایسا زعم میں تھا کہ پتہ نہیں کیا کیا بول دیا۔حضرت جی نے جب خیال کیا تو دیکھا کہ وہ تو صحابی رسول ہیں۔ حضرت نے بشیر کو کہا کہ ابھی واپس جاؤ اور جاکر ان سے معافی مانگ کے آؤ ۔ بشیر واپس گیا اور معافی مانگی مگر انہوں نے معاف نہیں کیا۔ فرمایا تمہیں اتنی عقل بھی نہیں کہ صحابی اور غیر صحابی میں تمیز کر سکو ۔ فرمایا کہ اپنے شیخ کو جا کر کہنا کہ ہرکسی کے گلے میں گھنگرو نہیں باندھا کرتے۔ تمہارے اس شاگرد کے لئے معافی کی گنجائش نہیں ۔ حضرت نے جب یہ سنا تو کہا کہ کیا کروں میں تو سنگریزے اکٹھے کرتا رہتا ہوں ان میں کوئی ہیرے موتی بھی نکل آتے ہیں۔ حضرت شیخ المکرم نے بشیر کا مسئلہ مشائخ کے سامنے پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے بھی معذرت کرلی۔ پھر دربارنبویﷺ میں اس کا مسئلہ پیش کیا گیا۔ جب وہاں سے انکار ہوگیا تو حضرت قبلہ عالم نے بشیر کو جماعت سے نکال دیا۔ بشیر اگر اپنی اوقات میں رہتا تو اسے یہ دن نہ دیکھنا پڑتا۔ دنیا بھی اس کے لئے تنگ ہوگئی ۔ ایک روز کوٹھے پر چڑھا تو چھت سے گر گیا اور ٹانگ ٹوٹ گئی۔ سنا ہے آجکل کسمپرسی کے دن کاٹ رہا ہے۔ بعد ازاں حضرت قبلہ عالم نے بشیر کے بھائی کے پاس نیوی کوارٹرز میں جانا بھی چھوڑدیا ۔بشیر خود تو راندہ درگاہ ہوا اپنے کنبے کو بھی فیض سے محروم کرگیا۔

Those Who Forgot their Place

Hazrat Allah Yar Khan started spreading Silsila Naqshbandia Awaisia from Chakwal. His first student was Qazi Sanaullah, after whom, Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman and Professor Abdul Razzaq of Chakwal started the Zikr. Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman was an Arabic teacher in the Chakwal High School and was the Khateeb[1] of a mosque. He had a unique style of recitation. His Kashaf was intense, and his conversation with spirits was very clear. All of us used to go to Chakwal first, where Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman used to conduct a session of Zikr, after which we used to go to Chikrala to present ourselves before Hazrat Qibla Alam. As a result, we used to reach Chikrala by 10 pm. When Hazrat would enter the mosque for the Tahajjud prayer, he would find us there. We were strictly not allowed to consume anything from the market during our journey. But more than the hunger, we were driven by the passion to meet our respected Shaykh. We would often walk the ten miles distance from Bun Hafiz to Chikrala, however, a bus would be available in the morning from Chikrala to Bun Hafiz.
Everyone in the Silsila Awaisia was a fan of Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman. People started giving him gifts to win his approval. They would gather around him to ask matters of Kashaf. Whenever Maulana Akram Awan would see people surrounding Maulvi Sulaiman, he would say, "Thank God I don’t have this disease of Kashaf, otherwise people would have kept bothering me". Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman was also the Khaleefa Majaz of Hazrat Allah Yar KhanRehmatullah Alaih, and was second only to Qazi Sanaullah of Laitee with respect to the Destinations. Whenever we used to ask our honorable Shaykh about the people that were the closest behind him in the Destinations of Salook, he used to say that Qazi Sahib was behind him, and Maulvi Sulaiman was behind Qazi Sahib. Maulvi Sulaiman, who was traversing the Destinations of the Realm of Astonishment, was viewed with much reverence. In the journey of Salook, a stage comes when the seeker starts drawing Faiz directly from Allah. Times can change, and that's what happened. A time came when Hazrat Qibla Alam gave the tiding that Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman would be leading the Jamaat after him. After that, Maulvi Sulaiman's behavior started to change. He started conducting Loud Zikr and the Ihtezar Meditation after the Asr prayer. I knew that he did not have Hazrat Jee'sRehmatullah Alaih approval for conducting the Loud Zikr and Ihtezar Meditation. When Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman noticed that I did not concur with him about these practices, he personally called and threatened me that if I did not join him he would get me sacked from the position of a Majaz and would get me expelled from the Silsila Awaisia. Allah, the Exalted Lord has done me this favor, that I also did not join Maulana Muhammad Akram Awan when he founded "Al Ikhwan". I never attended his political rallies and meetings.
I don’t know how Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman made the blunder of thinking that he no longer required a Shaykh to progress further. Somehow, he started thinking that he had become self sufficient in drawing the Faiz. Then, he established links with another Peer Sahib. He started saying that the Ahdiyyat, Maeeyat and Aqrabiyyat (or the Triple Meditations) are performed inside the Qalb. Hazrat, our respected teacher, warned him many times to get hold of himself, but he never mended his ways. Hazrat Qibla Alam was staying at Haji Altaf's house in Peshawar. When I informed HazratRehmatullah Alaih about Maulvi Sulaiman's threat, Hazrat said, "how can he get you expelled, when he has himself been expelled from the Silsila. He has even dared to write a book contesting 'Dala'il-as-Salook'". Then, he produced a book from under his pillow and told me it was Maulvi Sulaiman's book. When I opened the cover of the book, I was astounded to see that the foreword of the book had been written by Professor Abdul Razzaq.
Woe, that when a person forgets his place, he falls flat on his face. Maulvi Muhammad Sulaiman lost everything. He was deprived of his Appointment and Destinations. He was expelled from the Prophet'sS-A-W Court. The world also turned its back on him. He fell into poverty and was afflicted by disease right to his very end. When he died, his face turned dark. The grave also refused to welcome him. Did you see the result of Iblees's friendship? Now he says, "I was ruined because of pride and delusion. Would that I had not let go of my Shaykh's hand and his company!"
Now, hear the story of another person. His name was Basheer. He hailed from Fort Sundaiman, Balochistan. He practiced traditional medicine and would often use Hazrat's preparations. He used to serve in the police at one time. Talkative and sharp, he claimed he had Kashaf and used to orientate the new comers and introduce them to the Silsila. We also heard a lot from him. He used to stay in Chikrala more than in Fort Sundaiman. Smooth talking, outgoing, tall, and fair, he would often go to the other seekers and hold sessions of Zikr and Meditations. He had a brother who served in the navy. When Hazrat, our respected Shaykh, used to go to Karachi, he stayed at his brother's naval quarter situated near the Tooba Mosque.
This was 1970. Hazrat Qibla Alam was in Karachi. When Basheer returned from the city before the evening and after the Asr, he was furious. He started telling Hazrat that he had been to a grave, but the person in the grave had not stood up in his honor, nor had he answered his questions. Basheer said he had not seen such indifferent behavior from anyone in the grave. "All of them get up when we go to them," he said. He kept speaking out of vanity and said a lot. When Hazrat Jee concentrated toward the person in that grave, he saw that the person was a Companion of the ProphetS-A-W. Hazrat told Basheer to go back immediately and apologize from him. Basheer went back and apologized, but the CompanionRazi Allah Anhu did not forgive him. He said to Basheer that he was so dumb he could not distinguish between a Companion and an ordinary person. He asked him to tell his Shaykh that he should not garland every Tom, Dick and Harry; and there was no room for forgiveness for his student. When Hazrat heard this, he said, "What can I do? I keep collecting pebbles. Some out of them turn out to be diamonds and pearls". Hazrat, our respected teacher, presented Basheer's case before the Mashaikh, but they also declined to help. His matter was then presented in the Prophet'sS-A-W Court, but was again rejected. After that, Hazrat Qibla Alam expelled Basheer from the Jamaat. Had Basheer stayed in his socks, he would not have seen this day. The world also became constricted for him. One day, he fell from the roof and broke his leg. I've heard that he is living in dire straits these days. After his expulsion, Hazrat Qibla Alam also stopped going to his brother in the naval quarters. Basheer not only got himself kicked out of an esteemed place, but also deprived his whole family from receiving the Faiz.
